Hicks Management & Consulting Group, Inc., represented the seller."We are pleased to announce our continued expansion in the state of Texas,” Steele Auto Group President Kim Day said in a statement. “We enter the Waco market with our first Volkswagen dealership in the U.S. We have a very strong relationship with Volkswagen Canada, and we are proud to be extending this relationship to the U.S.
In a separate statement to Automotive News Canada, Day said the group “was not looking specifically in Waco." “However the opportunity was presented to us and we felt it was a good fit for us from a brand perspective and geographically.” The new store boosts the groups dealership count in the Lone Star State to nine, which sell a combined eight brands.“We are always looking at opportunities but nothing more absolute to share,” Day said.
