NEW: Stay home if you're sick New Year's Eve, Ottawa Public Health urges ottnews
The weekly Respiratory Virus Snapshot shows "high levels" of the flu, RSV and COVID-19 in Ottawa over the holiday season. The health unit says influenza levels have decreased in the capital since last week, while COVID-19 and RSV levels remain similar to last week.
"We know you’re looking forward to these events, & it can be hard to cancel on friends & family. But if you’re sick, attending a gathering puts everyone at risk. According to Ottawa Public Health, the percent positivity levels are 11.3 per cent for influenza, 13.3 per cent for RSV and 17.7 per cent for COVID-19.
