Nicky is a key figure behind Coia's – an Italian restaurant and delicatessen located on Duke Street.Nicky sadly died at the age of 84 in 2017, and his son Alfredo took over.
As part of plans for the new development, the developer and planners approached the Coia family with the idea for them to become a focal point. As part of this, the installation of a statue of Nicky as a memory of one of the key figures of Dennistoun’s life was included.
