Millions will get a State Pension boost from April
The Department for Work and Pensions is set to give a financial boost of £310 to everyone who receives a State Pension from April 1.
From next month, various benefits will see an 'uplift', resulting in more money being deposited into recipients' bank accounts. The government has stated that this uplift in State Pensions to counteract inflation will add approximately £310 a year back into people's pockets.However, as this is an average, some may receive more in their pension while others may get less. The Secretary of State for Work and Pensions is required to review the level of benefits each year.
From April, the Full Basic State Pension will also increase in line with the 'triple lock', from £156.20 per week to £169.50, an increase of £13.30, reports Yorkshire Live. The Full New State Pension will go up by £17.35 from £203.85 to £221.20.
