Galaxy come off a morale boosting goalless draw against Kaizer Chiefs in the DStv Premiership last Sunday and jumped to tenth spot on the table.
The Rockets have lost, drawn and won one of their last three matches and just recently crushed Golden Arrows 4-0 on their own turf. Last season, the Rockets were bundled out in the second round of the cup on post-match penalties against Baroka FC after the two teams played to a 1-1 draw during regulation time.
Amavarara, who are campaigning in the ABC Motsepe League, will meet the Rockets for the first time ever and didn’t participate in last season’s Nedbank Cup. Galaxy will be without Marks Munyai following the defender’s dismissal in the second half against the Amakhosi last weekend.
