Thwihli Thwahla picked up their first defeat of the season the past Wednesday following a 4-2 hammering to Soweto giants Orlando Pirates.
The Maroons returned to winning ways in the quarter-finals of the MTN8 with a narrow victory in extra-time against SuperSport United following a goalless 90 minutes. After a win on the opening day against Pirates, the Maroons were brought down to earth with a 1-0 defeat at the hands of the newly-promoted Polokwane City.
