It’s been a dream start in the top flight for the new boys, who are second on the table and are one point from the summit with the leaders Mamelodi Sundowns in continental duty this weekend.
The Team of Choice however have had a dismal start to the season and are at the bottom with just two wins from nine matches so far and lost their match 3-0 against Stellenbosch FC. Richards Bay have bagged three wins and two draws off their last five matches, whereas Maritzburg have suffered three losses and earned two wins from their previous five encounters.
It is going to be the first engagement between the rivals from the KwaZulu-Natal province in the top flight following the Natal Rich Boyz’s promotion at the start of the season.
