In keeping with the games industry’s current fashion for announcing major news out of nowhere, Bethesda has just released a trailer confirming that the release date for Starfield is September 6 – and not in the first half of the year, as wasThat’s a shame but hardly unexpected, although we do wish publishers would realise that no one other than the US uses their weird date system, because at first it looked like it was going to come out on June 9.
The new trailer doesn’t reveal anything concrete but there is some odd dialogue and imagery that may point towards the game having some sort of alien mystery to it, perhaps involving an ancient race or Interstellar style time travel shenanigans.
