Council report reveals the impact of rising living costs on local households
Many Lincolnshire households are facing an increased struggle for basic necessities such as food and energy.
The Revenues and Benefits Shared Service in Lincoln and North Kesteven has played a key role in developing and delivering schemes to help mitigate these impacts. The report also provides a comprehensive breakdown of the Discretionary Housing Payments for the fourth quarter of 2022/23. In North Kesteven, 262 DHP applications were awarded, down from 343 in Q4 2021/22. Of these, 77 were for Housing Benefit and 185 for Universal Credit. The average DHP award was £351.42, a decrease from £394.34 in Q4 2021/22.
