The Springboks will have a new-look lock pairing with TWO Bok veterans ruled out for the remainder of the Rugby Championship.
The Springboks will have to select a new lock to take on the All Blacks with several top locks sidelined.lock to replace his veterans moving forward into the rest of the season. In fact, both Franco Mostert and Lood de Jager ruled out with long-term injuries.Moreover, Rassie has the keys to depth of SA rugby. Now, it is time to unlock the depth at lock. So, injuries to Mostert and Lood have recently opened the Springboks door to the likes of Salmaan Moerat and Ruan Nortje.
Nortje played the full 80 minutes in Brisbane and was solid in all aspects of his game from the line-out to strong ruck clean outs and ball carries. Whilst, Moerat has not done much wrong he did not make as much as an impact as Nortje.Essentially, the favourite new Bok lock to step up at number 5 is Ruan Nortje.
