Three of the Springboks' most senior squad members have been ruled out of the Rugby Championship opener against the Wallabies due to injury.
The Springboks will be without the services of Pieter-Steph du Toit, Franco Mostert and Cheslin Kolbe for the start of the Rugby Championship.Rassie Erasmus on Tuesday confirmed that all Du Toit, Franco Mostert, Cheslin Kolbe and Malcolm Marx all suffered significant injuries in thatMostert was forced off the field as early as the 20th minute in Durban, and it has now been confirmed that he had broken his leg and will be out of action for six weeks.
Additionally, the above mentioned trio are joined on the sidelines by Marx who suffered “a bit of a tibia fracture” at a breakdown point against Ireland. Erasmus did not specify how long Marx would be out for or whether he’ll miss the showdown against Australia.
