20 Rugby World Cup-winning Springboks have been ruled out due to injuries, a suspension and club commitments.
Rassie Erasmus will be naming his first team Springbok team of the season in a couple of weeks with more than half his regular team unavailable.
Injuries, a suspension and club commitments will see Rassie Erasmus and the Springboks without as many as 20 players .. Meanwhile, Jasper Wiese has picked up suspension. Additionally, all players based in Europe, the UK and Ireland will be unavailable for selection, according toTrevor Nyakane, RG Snyman, Cobus Reinach, Handre Pollard, Andre Esterhuizen and captain Siya Kolisi all ply their trade for sides in Europe, the uK and Ireland.
Furthermore, Wiese has picked up a six match suspension that will see him miss the Ireland test serious too. Meanwhile, Willie le Roux and Marco van Staden are expected to be added to the squad when thecommences. The Bulls duo are focused on their titanic URC semi-final clash against Leinster on Saturday, 15 June at Loftus.
Unfortunately, the talented, dynamic and speedy duo of Kurt-lee Arendse and Canan Moodie are both out injured. Therefore, a minimum of 20 players are not available for selection for the Springboks first test of the year. Meanwhile, the likes of Thomas du Toit and Tyrone Green have been knocking at the door. So, we will see if they knocked it down when players based in the UK are eligible for selection again.
