Residents of several rural communities in the North West province cite hours waiting for emergency medical services, medicine shortages, expensive travel costs, and long walking distances to clinics as some of the challenges they face when trying to access healthcare services. Meanwhile, expensive mobile clinics that the provincial government purchased from the Gupta-linked Mediosa are gathering dust.
