.Spotify streamlines 'Your Library' tab with greater emphasis on podcasts
The logo of the music streaming service Spotify is displayed on a smartphone.Spotify has introduced a new, streamlined version of its “Your Library” tab in effort to make content easier and quicker to find. The update is available starting Thursday for all Premium users.
The reimagined Library was designed to make the Spotify user experience more personalized and seamless for both music and podcasts, the latter of which has recently become an area of intensified focus for the streaming platform. Unlike before, users can now swipe between separate “Music” and “Podcast” tabs, thereby making podcast listening and discovery more prominent on the interface.
The Music and Podcasts tabs are additionally broken down into three distinct sub-tabs. On Music, those tabs are entitled "Playlists," "Artists" and "Albums," while on Podcasts they are "Episodes," "Shows" and "Downloads."
