Destiny 2 players are getting weirded out by whispers they're hearing in-game. Here's how and where you can hear them too.
We’re just over a day away from the beginning of Season of Opulence in Destiny 2, but players have started freaking out over something rather weird that could either be one of Bungie’s creepiest easter eggs, a sign of something greater, or absolutely nothing., who with 13 YouTube subscribers is probably not producing any deepfakes to try and get clicks. It has Slowy hanging out at the end of the Skydock IV lost sector on Earth.
The video was uploaded with him and players saying they hear “I saw what happened.” For me personally, I hear “I saw it happen.”DestinySeek the whispers—they are faint, but they are calling. Not all bone carries the sound of secret truth. Most are fragile, hollow things meant only to carry the weight of wasted lives. In the feted remnants of yearning marrow, find love, find life, and in their lies you will discover the narrow road to all you never dreamed to be.I.
But to follow up, I went to the caves of Io, where other players said they’d heard whispers too. And also hung out in orbit for a long time where there are supposed to be whispers too. No whispers.Make sure all your music is turned off in settings or you may not be able to hear. Wear headphones if you can.
The whispers do exist, that much is a fact, but whether they are purposefully significant is another question. One common thought is that for some reason, this is just part of the ambient background noise in Cabal ship interiors, as that’s where you hear it, both places like Skydock, but also the underbelly of Leviathan. It’s just an audio sample that plays sometimes in these spots for…reasons.
