Marvel has released Spider-Man: The Official Cookbook, packed with recipes to reflect Peter Parker's New York City and beyond. This isn't Marvel's first cookbook - the publisher previously released one for Deadpool, of all people - but it promises to be as popular as the Webslinger himself.
True to its Spidey roots, there are more than a few foods that are hand-held, easy to make and pack for lunch as you zip around town. The book also features a narrated guide via Spider-Man pointing out why each recipe is there and what he loves about it. With great food,comes great responsibility…to share with friends.
Main characters' families are represented as well. Arañitas are a Puerto Rican fried plantain snack, something Miles Morales would definitely have grown up with, but also great for this book because arañita means “little spider.” Ghost Spider's eggplant Parmesan reflects her affection for her dad and his home cooking, even if it's a bad idea to mix red sauce with a white superhero costume.
