A new video shows an alternate version of Green Goblin's introduction in SpiderManNoWayHome – and it involves a much bigger fight scene.
A new video gives a brief look at a much more action-packed introduction for Green Goblin in Spider-Man: No Way Home. Released in December, Spider-Man: No Way Home shattered box office records and was a hit with both fans and critics. Wrapping up Tom Holland's Homecoming trilogy, the film sees Peter enlist the help of Doctor Strange to make the world forget that he's Spider-Man, which accidentally unleashes the multiverse.
When Doctor Strange's spell goes wrong, a host of past Spider-Man characters come tumbling into Holland's Spider-Man's world, including the likes of Green Goblin , Doc Ock , Electro , Lizard , and Sandman . Even Tobey Maguire and Andrew Garfield return as their own respective versions of Spider-Man. Although each villain presents a considerable challenge to Holland's Peter, it's Green Goblin who proves to be the most dangerous.
While audiences likely would've loved a three-way fight between Holland's Spider-Man, Green Goblin, and Doc Ock, it's understandable why the sequence was cut. By keeping Green Goblin's introduction relatively short, Holland's Spider-Man gets to have a fun one-on-one battle with Doc Ock, which is the only real fighting those two do in the entire movie.
