The Specialist Application/Platform Security Engineer is responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining robust security measures for applications and platforms. The role involves proactive assessment, monitoring, and management of security risks, ensuring compliance with standards, and integrating security practices throughout the software development lifecycle.
The incumbent will also provide guidance, training, and expertise to strengthen organisational security posture.Conduct security assessments and vulnerability testing to identify and mitigate risks.Ensure compliance with relevant security standards, policies, and regulations.Collaborate with development and operations teams to integrate security into the SDLC.Perform regular security audits, risk assessments, and penetration testing.Stay current with the latest security trends, threats, and industry best practices.RequirementsMinimum Requirements: NQF 6 or a Degree in Information Communication Technology field incorporating Information Systems.Minimum of 6 years’ experience as a Senior Application/Platform Security Engineer.
