Environment Canada is forecasting anywhere between 15 to 25 millimetres of rainfall, with higher amounts expected in certain pockets of the city on Monday. The federal weather agency said upgrading the special weather statement to a rainfall warning “may be required.” Monday’s downpour is expected to taper off into the afternoon, with light showers and drizzles into the night.
Skies are expected to be overcast and winds gusting up to 50 km/h are also forecasted for Monday as daytime highs are expected to climb to 21 C during the day before plunging to 11 C at night.with a 40 per cent chance of showers that might escalate into a thunderstorm. Skies will clear into Wednesday morning, bringing a sunny forecast and a high of 23.
