There were ribbon skirts, turbans, saris, headscarves and simple head coverings of all colours. Many wore western dress as well.

“The Christian church has made many mistakes in the past. Particularly with regards to people of other faiths, to people of colour, to Indigenous people – not only here in Canada but around the world – and of course, to women as well.” Clark said he interprets these stories as Jesus treating women as equals, going against cultural norms despite potential consequences.
