The SPCA says hundreds of farm animals and horses are missing, while animal feed has also been washed away.
CAPE TOWN - The Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals has called for donations for hundreds of farm animals affected by the floods that hit Riverlands, near Malmesbury, after three agricultural dam walls collapsed this week.

"Please consider a donation of either oat hay, fresh fruit or vegetables or any pet food, blankets or any animal care essentials, and drop off can be made at the Cape of Good Hope, Darling, and Swartland SPCAs as well as at the Riverlands Primary School, where there's a well-coordinated effort to distribute good to the community," she said.
WATCH: EWN is at Riverlands in Chatsworth outside Malmesbury where three dams burst. According to the residents, they have also been told to stay on high alert because a fourth dam is leaking. About 220 people had their homes flooded. Crushed stone beneath the rail is eroded.
