The alerts are the seventh and eighth ones this year, according to the Bay Area Air Quality Management District.
With smoky air and a brown haze brought on by fires in Oregon and Northern California, the Bay Area Air Quality Management District decided an air advisory wasn’t enough.
The district early Wednesday upgraded their advisory to a Spare the Air alert that will run through Thursday.
