Soweto Gospel Choir a national jewel: President Ramaphosa via SABCNewsOnline
The choir has returned from the United States with their latest Grammy. The Soweto Gospel Choir now has three Grammys to their name.
The multi award-winning gospel group scooped up the Best World Music Album at February’s Grammy Awards in Los Angeles. Delighted, the group says this is the tip of the iceberg. President Ramaphosa has dubbed them a national jewel and says that he was impressed when the choir was nominated for the awards. The President also thanked the group for flying the country’s flag high in the international arena.
