The organisation wants an execution order that will protect Zimbabwean Exemption Permit holders
The Minister of Home Affairs had set an expiry date for the Zimbabwean Exemption Permit for the end of June 2023.
The minister has already failed in a bid to get permission for leave to appeal from the Pretoria Court and has now indicated that he will approach the Supreme Court of Appeal. "The future of permit holders and their children will depend on the possibility of the minister granting them further piecemeal extensions."
They said throughout the answering affidavit there was a"notable disdain for the value of public participation".
