Adams notched 10 goals and three assists in 35 games across all competitions last season as Southampton suffered relegation to the Championship.He has returned for pre-season ahead of the Saints’ first game of the season against Sheffield Wednesday on Friday . But the Scotland international striker could return to the Premier League ahead of next year’s European Championships – with the Tartan Army well-placed to qualify for the tournament in Germany.
The 23-cap star has managed 25 goals and 14 assists in 124 Premier League outings since making his top-flight debut in 2019. Everton, Bournemouth and Wolves are keen to bolster their forward options after registering bottom-half finishes in the 2022-23 campaign.
