South32 and Anglo's Samancor ink deal to sell Metalloys smelter - again
South32’s Samancor subsidiary has entered into a binding sales deal for its shuttered Metalloys manganese smelter in Gauteng.
The Australia-headquartered mining group said the smelter, which is located in Meyerton, would be sold to Menar Capital and Ntiso Investment Holdings. "Completion of the transaction is subject to certain conditions, including competition approval and regulatory approvals. Satisfaction of these conditions is expected to occur in , at which time the buyer will assume the assets and liabilities comprising Metalloys," South32 said in a statement.South Africans need to be in the know if we want to create a prosperous future.
