“So you get the sense that the NDP wants to have this election without anybody noticing,” Telford said. Health care has emerged as one of the main issues in the campaign, with candidates at odds over the future of the new Surrey hospital. Greaves said the hospital must be built as soon as possible and was designed to meet the community’s current needs.
This is the first time the B.C. Conservative party is running a candidate since the riding was created in 2015. Small business owner Harman Bhangu is in favour of scrapping the carbon tax, saying the NDP’s harmful environmental policies are driving up the cost of gas and making life more expensive for British Columbians.Article content
