A consultation has been launched to allow the community and stakeholders to shape, comment and ask questions about the future of Chatelherault Country Park in Hamilton and Calderglen Country Park in East Kilbride.

Chair of the council’s Community and Enterprise Resources Committee, Councillor Robert Brown, said: “South Lanarkshire ’s country parks are hugely popular with local people and visitors alike.Get all the news from your area – as well as features, entertainment, sport and the latest on Lanarkshire ’s recovery from the coronavirus pandemic – straight to your fingertips, 24/7.

“We want them to offer vibrant and welcoming facilities which are linked to and contribute towards the surrounding communities. “The parks are very much at the heart of our communities, and I know they attract visitors from far and wide because of the unique attractions and facilities they provide.
