SEOUL : South Korea's consumer inflation eased to a one-year low in March and came slightly lower than economists' expectations, official data showed on Tuesday.
The consumer price index stood 4.2 per cent higher in March than a year earlier, compared with gains of 4.8 per cent in February and 4.3 per cent forecast in a Reuters survey.The index rose 0.2 per cent on a monthly basis, after a 0.3 per cent rise in the previous month, according to the Statistics Korea. Economists had expected the index to rise 0.2 per cent in the survey.
