, The study included 199 passports and 227 travel destinations, evaluating their travel strength and rankings. Henley & Partners, the investment migration consultancy, assessed each passport based on the total count of visa-free accessible destinations for its holder.
Henley & Partners explained their scoring system, stating that a score of 1 is assigned to a passport for each destination where no visa is needed. This includes instances where passport holders can obtain a visa on arrival, a visitor’s permit, or an electronic travel authority upon entry. South Africa ranks in the 52nd position out of 104 countries, boasting a visa-free score of 106. Compared to the previous year’s ranking of 55th, the country has made progress by climbing three positions.
