Passport holders from all African countries will now be able to visit the nation of Rwanda visa-free, after Rwandan President Paul Kagame recently announced the news at a global summit., the president spoke about “a unified tourism destination” at the 23rd Global Summit of the World Travel and Tourism Council.
“Any African can get on a plane to Rwanda whenever they wish, and they will not pay a thing to enter our country,” President Kagame said. “We should not lose sight of our own continental market,” Kagame added. “Africans are the future of global tourism as our middle-class continues to grow at a fast pace in the decades to come.”It has not yet been revealed when the visa-free system for Africans from other nations entering Rwanda will be implemented.
Rwandan President Paul Kagame has introduced visa-free travel for all Africans. Rwanda is now the fourth African country to do so, along with Seychelles, The Gambia and Benin. Kenya announced similar plans to drop visa demands for Africans from 2024.
