Ramaphosa's spokesperson, Vincent Magwenya , explained that while Nigeria ns applying for visas do not need to submit their passports at the time of application, they are still required to have valid passports.

The announcement was made during the 11th Session of the South Africa-Nigeria Bi-National Commission in Cape Town, aiming to improve efficiency and customer service, and to support economic activity and tourism
