We compared the lowest December flight fares from five South African airlines.
South African Airways offers the most affordable flights between Johannesburg and Durban and Johannesburg and Cape Town this festive season, beating airlines like FlySafair, Lift, AirLink, and CemAir.
To keep the comparison fair, we included the price of checked-in baggage for airlines that don’t automatically include a checked-in bag. SAA offers the most affordable return trip between Johannesburg and Durban at R3,215. FlySafair is the next-most affordable option, at R3,523. FlySafair is the next-most affordable again at R6,123, while Lift, AirLink, and CemAir’s prices range between R7,055 and R7,273.
