South African residents are bracing for a heatwave that will bring persistently high temperatures across several provinces, including the North West, Free State, KwaZulu-Natal, Gauteng, Limpopo, and Mpumalanga. The South African Weather Service issued warnings for extreme heat and high fire danger conditions, particularly in the Lowveld of Limpopo and parts of the Free State.

South Africans have been warned of a heatwave which will hit parts of the country in the coming week. Image: chuchart duangdaw/ SimpleImages Following the thunderstorms that plagued parts of the country last week, South Africans can now brace for another weather warning.Numerous parts of the country will experience a heatwave from Monday, 2 December, and residents are warned to take care.

According to the weather service, extremely hot and uncomfortable conditions are also expected on Wednesday in the Lowveld of Limpopo,In addition to the heatwave, citizens are also warned that extremely high fire danger conditions are expected for parts of the Free State,reported that a Yellow Level 4 warning was issued in September, with residents warned of potential flooding.Byron Pillay is a Current Affairs Editor at Briefly News.
