JAC Motors has revealed more details about its new T9 bakkie that’s coming to South Africa this year.

JAC Motors has revealed more details about its new T9 Hunter bakkie coming to South Africa in 2023 and 2024.

If all goes to plan, this will make the T9 South Africa’s first hybrid and electric bakkie introduction, with the ICE models expected to launch in the country in the second semester of 2023, while the electrified units are expected to make an appearance in 2024.

The PHEV, meanwhile, combines the 2.0-litre turbo-petrol powertrain with a 26.8kWh battery, resulting in an average fuel consumption of 3.3l/100km, according to the manufacturer.
