Monyela expressed the country’s appreciation for the support received from the US government, the Africa Group, and the business community in hosting the forum. It also questioned South Africa's eligibility for trade benefits under Agoa, which requires beneficiary countries to avoid activities undermining US national security or foreign policy interests.
