in Missouri accused of neglecting her duties may be held in criminal contempt of court after no one from her team showed up to a murder trial.after Judge Scott Millikan filed the motion following her team’s failure to show up in court on Monday against Jonathan Jones, 18, who is accused of fatally shooting a man in 2021.
If Gardner fails to appear in court or show just cause, Millikan could issue a fine or put the city’s chief prosecutor behind bars. The prosecutor is currently fighting to keep her position as state Attorney General Andrew Bailey looks to remove her from office. The plaintiffs argued that Daniel Riley, the suspect, should not have been out on bond because he violated the terms of the agreement several dozen times.
