Unbearably sad, RIP Chris
The mum of a young man who took his own life had believed he had turned a corner in his ongoing mental health battle.
The night before Chris was found dead he had been out in Darwen with his friend Tony McWhirter. In a statement Tony told police: "He seemed in a good mood. We went to Darwen town centre and parted company at 11.30pm." "They usually surfaced after he had had a drink and sometimes he would go to hospital if his behaviour caused concern. Sometimes this was fighting or self harming. He would then hide away in his room for a few days until he felt able to face things again.
