The son of a Scots expat has been shot dead in an alleged murder in the US. Rory Swimm was gunned down in Salt Lake City, Utah, at around 1.45am on Friday, October 13.The gunmen fled the scene in a getaway car but were later traced by US police. Officers reported that they did not believe the gun attack was at random. Two 15-year-old males have since been arrested and charged with murder.
"On Saturday, October 14, 2023, on behalf of the Salt Lake City Police Department’s Homicide Squad, which is leading the investigation, the Salt Lake City Police Department’s SWAT Team, Gang Unit, and Violent Criminal Apprehension Team executed several court authorised search warrants as part of this investigation.
