The 105.6-carat “Koh-i-Noor” diamond, now mounted on the queen’s crown, has been a symbol of conquest throughout its centuries of history.

Duleep, who was just 10 at the time, was "forced" by the British to sign a legal document amending the Treaty of Lahore, that required Duleep to give away the Koh-i-Noor and all claim to sovereignty, the Smithsonian Magazine states. The 105.6-carat diamond was worn in the crown of Queen Alexandra and then in the crown of Queen Mary.
