Tonight’s Premier League game between Chelsea and Manchester United sees two club legends face each other from the coach’s dugout.
Although Ole Gunnar Solskjær played 235 games for United during an 11-season career in the Premier League, the Norwegian striker is best known for the goal he scored in the third minute of injury time in the 1999 Champions League final against Bayern Munich to give the Reds an unexpected 2-1 victory in a match they were losing 1-0 at the start of injury time.Tomorrow Solskjær takes his United side to Chelsea.
Both clubs have never really been in with a chance to lift the title this season and need to look elsewhere if they want to salvage something.Chelsea have just announced that they have signed Hakim Ziyech from Ajax Amsterdam for €Solskjær, meanwhile, has been told that he can spend some £280 million for new signings, with Borussia Dortmund’s Jadon Sancho being one of his targets.
The Nigerian international was not cleared earlier owing to the outbreak of the coronavirus, which has caused the death of more than 1 000 so far. In his place, veteran goalkeeper Willy Caballero stood between the poles in the 2-2 draw against Leicester City. Solskjær also has the advantage when it comes to goal scoring, having scored four goals, compared to the one goal that Lampard scored.
