Man United's new defensive midfielder Sofyan Amrabat made his debut for the Reds in the victory over Burnley

Manchester United's Sofyan Amrabat has thanked supporters for the warm reception he received after making his debut in the victory over Burnley at Turf Moor.

Amrabat's debut was delayed after he sustained an injury that forced him to leave international duty early. But the 27-year-old's debut was worth the wait as he helped see out the win as United got back to winning ways after a dismal few weeks for the club.Taking to Instagram after the match, Amrabat sent the following message: "Amazing feeling to make my debut, happy with the win. Thanks for the warm welcome.

After a back-and-forth first half that saw Jonny Evans' goal ruled out for offside by VAR, United managed to secure the breakthrough in stoppage time. A fantastic ball over the top from Evans was superbly finished by Bruno Fernandes in what would be the only goal of the game.
