Soccer Aid presenter Dermot O'Leary was hilariously ambushed by a host of celebrity players as the live ITV broadcast for the annual Unicef fundraising event kicked off
Dermot O’Leary had an eventful start to his coverage of Soccer Aid on Sunday night as the presenter found himself ambushed by a group of celebrity football players live on air.
Some of the famous faces included in the spontaneous tomfoolery included Olympic icon Sir Mo Farah, ex TOWIE star Mark Wright, Love Island 's Kem Cetinay and Line of Duty actor Martin Compston as they pounced on the presenter who valiantly continued to try and say his lines – even as they placed a cone on his head.
Trying not to laugh, Alex continued with the broadcast, saying: "50,000 delirious fans, but I should say already delirious players," before, the players then approached her, leading the star to add: "This is the biggest fundraiser.”
