A 45-year-old snowboarder was killed Sunday in an avalanche he unintentionally triggered near Salt Lake City, Utah, according to the Utah Avalanche Center.
The man, from Salt Lake City, was part of the way down the 9,990 foot Dutch Draw slope in Park City when he triggered and was caught in the avalanche,The Summit County Sheriff’s Office said Sunday afternoon that the snowboarder had been dug out and life saving efforts were underway.
