Rachel Zegler and Gal Gadot star in the Marc Webb reimagination of the 1937 classic.
Disney fans have been waiting a long time to see Rachel Zegler take a bite of that forbidden apple and now, they’re going to have to wait much, much longer. The company just announced that Snow White, Marc Webb’s upcoming live-action remake of the 1937 classic, has been delayed almost a full year. Co-starring Gal Gadot, it was originally set for release on March 22, 2024 but has now been pushed back all the way to March 21, 2025. The same fate has befallen Elio, the upcoming Pixar animated film.
Also of note in Disney’s delays is Magazine Dreams starring Jonathan Majors. The Sundance hit was picked up by Fox Searchlight hoping to get the Loki actor an Oscar nomination but after allegations of abuse, that movie - which was supposed to be released December 8 - has now been taken off the schedule entirely. So, as it stands, after the November 22 release of the Disney animated film Wish, Disney proper won’t have another release until April 5, 2024.
