Visibility will be reduced in areas with heavy snow
Snow squalls up to 15 and 25 cm are expected tonight in Sault Ste Marie area, Environment Canada said. Full weather alert issued by Environment Canada follows below: Snow squalls are expected. Under the snow squall bands, visibilities will be significantly reduced due to the heavy snow, and snow will quickly accumulate.Tonight through Saturday afternoon.
Snow squalls cause weather conditions to vary considerably; changes from clear skies to heavy snow within just a few kilometres are common. Visibility may be suddenly reduced at times in heavy snow. If visibility is reduced while driving, turn on your lights and maintain a safe following distance. Be prepared to adjust your driving with changing road conditions.
