SUNSHINE VILLAGE

All season, Norquay has been going out of its way to add a little something special to their après ski option through its Stay & Apres tasting sessions at the Lone Pine Pub. For anyone interested in expanding their palette and trying out some new boozy options, there’s a cocktail tasting by Park Distillery on Feb. 24, another cocktail tasting hosted by Hendo on Feb. 25 and then a prosecco tasting by Back Stallion Wines on March 4.

There should be lots of great snow whenever Nakiska does re-open, though. The Kananaskis resort got hit with 26 cm of fresh snow over the past seven days and its total for the winter is now 166 cm.It’s cold in Calgary right now. Probably too cold for skiing and snowboarding, if we’re being honest about it. With safety in mind, that’s why Winsport has decided to shut down for the next couple days.

And there’s a lot of snow out there right now. Castle Mountain saw 61 cm of fresh powder hit its slopes in the past week and that brought the season total to a terrific 532 cm.Article contentWhile a lot of other loyalty cards stopped being available around Christmas, you can still get your hands on a Marmot Escape Card.

The past week alone saw 36 cm of the fluffy white stuff fall on the mountain and the season total is now sitting at 606 cm.
