It hasn't taken long for pundits south of the border to take aim at Brendan Rodgers' team after faltering in Europe.
It was last-gasp heartache for Celtic in their latest Champions League quest - and it's provided ammunition for one English pundit.
Kyogo's strike put Brendan Rodgers' men in control of their second Group E game at home to Lazio before Matias Vecino effort and Pedro's 95th minute header sealed a painful loss. Celtic are bottom of the group with no points after two games and face a double header against Atletico Madrid next, where their opponents will be favourites.
Nigel Reo-Coker, formerly of Aston Villa and West Ham, was on CBS punditry duties for the clash at Parkhead. And he claims the Scottish Treble winners now hold Tottenham's 'Spursy' tag from down south, which essentially means to have success within reach but ultimately throw it away. He delivered a bizarre new nickname for Celtic too, saying: "In England we make fun of Tottenham and say Tottenham are very Spursy doing Spursy.
"It is something they keep doing. It's a broken record. There's good opportunities, good chances, don't take it, not clinical enough. Giving the ball away the ball in a Champions League game just in front of your backline in the dying minutes of the game? Being very Celtic." Former MLS star Michael Lahoud reckons the jump from league business to the Champions League plays its part. He added: "Those are moments you maybe get away with in the Scottish Premiership but you don't in Europe. Maeda had three or four golden chances. Decides to pass instead of shoot, I don't like that from attackers. Finish it, be aggressive, be confident, if you get that second goal this game is done.
