Loved-up couples will soon be able to get married in a magical woodland wonderland and it is all thanks to a friendship that was formed on a rugby field. Bowland Tipis is set to be the latest addition to Lancashire's 'Wedding Valley' and is the result of a lightbulb moment Chris Rand had while chatting to his close pal Simon MacDonald.
Since then, Chris and Charlotte have set to work creating Bowland Tipis, contacting local suppliers and building a fairy-tale wedding venue in the heart of an area of natural beauty. It will be licenced to host ceremonies, with Chris also striking up a partnership with Chorley-based Cheek and Tongue catering who will be able to tailor the food to a couple's personal preferences, including street food, pizzas, hog roasts and three-course gourmet meals.
"We are running the business together with Charlotte likely to become the main person. My job meant I was lucky to work with some good local suppliers and it has been such a welcoming industry - it is mutually beneficial for everyone.
