SMRT files police report after boy deliberately prevents platform screen doors from closing at Jurong East MRT station
Responding to TODAY's queries, president of SMRT Trains Lam Sheau Kai said on Thursday that on Feb 28 at about 5pm, a commuter on the east-bound station platform at Jurong East MRT station"deliberately prevented a platform screen door from closing".
"For the safety of everyone, all commuters are advised not to obstruct the doors when the doors are closing," he said.The video, which was uploaded onto social media site Reddit on Wednesday, is taken from the perspective of someone who sounds like a young boy. "I’m going to go far away so I’m not too much of a suspect," says the voice behind the camera, backing off from the train door.
